  • Cultural Cooking Club: Assign each member a culinary tradition selected by the wheel.

A trip around the world on a plate

It is easy to eat the same few foods. The wheel lists ten cuisines, such as Italian, Mexican, Japanese and Indian, each with sample dishes. A spin tells you where to travel for dinner.

Once the cuisine is picked, choose to cook at home or find a restaurant. If you cook, try a dish you have never made before.

Exploring further

Add cuisines you have not tried, such as Ethiopian, Korean or Lebanese. Remove ones that are unavailable locally. Families can turn it into a monthly tradition where a new cuisine is picked and everyone helps cook.

Turning a cuisine into a dinner

Once the wheel picks, decide whether to order out, cook or try a new restaurant. For Italian, pasta is easy at home. For Japanese, ramen or sushi usually means going out. For Mexican, tacos are quick to make. For Indian, a curry and rice are very forgiving.

Keep a list of cuisines you have tried, and give new ones a higher weight.
