Required Information in Takedown Notices
To file a legally sufficient notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with precise URLs on WheelWhirl.
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and valid email).
- A statement of good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was mistakenly removed as a result of misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complaining party.
