One hundred numbers, one spin
Every number from 1 to 100 has a 1% chance. Schools use the wheel on the 100th day of school, and tabletop gamers use it as a percentile roll.
It is also a convenient way to pick a random page, a seat number or a question number on a test review.
Working with a crowded wheel
At this size the numbers are small, so use fullscreen to show them on a large screen. For percentile dice, treat the result as a roll from 1 to 100. If you only need ten possible outcomes, use the 1 to 10 wheel instead.
Percentage checks
A number from 1 to 100 works like a percentage roll. To find out whether something with a 30% chance happens, spin and count a result of 30 or lower as a success. In tabletop games, this is the percentile roll that is normally made with two ten-sided dice. It also works for probability lessons: pick a chance, spin many times and compare the share of successes with the chance.
The 100th day of school
Many elementary classrooms celebrate the hundredth day of the school year. Use the wheel to pick a number and have students make a collection of that many objects, count by tens or find ways to make the number with addition. It gives the activity a random element that children enjoy.
Guess the number, and the seven-guess rule
In a guessing game, one person spins in secret and the others guess, with "higher" or "lower" as hints. A good strategy is to guess the middle each time: 50, then 25 or 75, and so on. Because each guess halves the options, any number from 1 to 100 can be found in at most seven guesses. Challenge students to discover this on their own.
