Running the order fairly
White Elephant, also called Yankee Swap, depends on turn order: players go in order, choosing a wrapped gift or stealing an opened one. Pulling numbers from a bowl often leads to mix-ups. The wheel draws each player once, so the order is clear to everyone.
Add the players, turn on Remove winner after each spin, and spin until everyone has a place. Write the order on a board or share your screen.
House rules to set first
Agree on a spending limit and how many times a gift can be stolen, commonly two or three times. Decide whether the first player gets a final chance to swap at the end. Keep gifts fun and affordable so no one feels left out.
