How to use the Overwatch hero wheel

  1. 1

Spin the wheel before entering the spawn room.

  2. 2

Play the selected hero for the duration of the match.

Ways to use this wheel

  • In-Game Mystery Heroes: Spin upon every respawn to replicate classic Mystery Heroes in standard lobbies.
  • Role Specialization Practice: Filter to one role and spin to rotate through off-meta picks.

Random heroes for Quick Play and custom games

The wheel includes tanks, damage and support heroes, so one spin can send you into a role you rarely play. That is useful for custom lobbies with friends and for learning the matchups you struggle against.

Try a "Mystery Heroes" style night: everyone spins before each round, and the team with the most eliminations wins. If you want a balanced team, spin one hero for each role instead of one for everyone.

Filtering by role

To get only supports, delete the tanks and damage heroes before you spin. Edit the list to match the current roster, and save your role-specific wheels under My wheels.
