Letters for learning and for games
The wheel holds all 26 letters with equal chances. Teachers use it to practice letter recognition and phonics, and families use it for games like Scattergories, name-place-animal or "I spy".
Spin, then ask for a word that starts with the letter, a letter sound or an object in the room. For older children, ask for a country, an animal and a food that begin with it.
Changing the odds
To practice vowels more often, give A, E, I, O and U extra weight under Weights and colors. For a short game, remove the hard letters such as Q, X and Z. Use Remove winner after each spin to work through the alphabet once.
